Seed Grants for Women Entrepreneurs
Thirty women completed vocational training and received micro-grants to launch tailoring, agribusiness and craft enterprises.
What we invested in
A 12-week vocational programme (tailoring, agribusiness, crafts) with financial literacy classes, followed by seed grants of 100–300 USD to the strongest business plans.
The impact
- 30 women trained, 24 businesses trading within six months
- Average household income up — children back in school, savings groups formed
- Two graduates now employ other women from the programme
With a small grant from KEMMA I opened a tailoring stall. Today I employ two other women and my children are in school.
